Objectives

It is proposed: The creation of a broad and adequate space for the city of San Pedro Sula, which will aim to concentrate around a plaza or open space, different sites from the different spheres of action, become a complex where will be located different cultural events, each with a coordinated set of activities with the aim of becoming a center to disseminate, promote and preserve the rich culture of San Pedro Sula and Honduras as a region in general.

Around this area we call the Plaza de la Cultura de San Pedro Sula, was constructed buildings and facilities required to create the following fields of cultural action:

Casa de la Cultura
Municipal Library and Historical Archive
Honduran Contemporary Art Gallery
Auditorium
Central Plaza capable of gathering a  significant number of people to hold outdoorpublic events, will also serve as common space for access and visitors to the different facilities in the areas mentioned.
Food Court
Commercial

 


 
  Plaza de la Cultura, will aim to systematize the activities of the centers to disseminate, promote and preserve the cultural heritage of different packages to serve the community, that lead to human development in our society.

For this, the City Library area permanently would provide information resources and reading facilities for all community members regardless of sex, social status, racial or economic, in conjunction with the Municipal Historical Archive which retain all records, files , sheets or records of the actions of the Municipality of the City of San Pedro Sula, documenting the history of our city had adequate facilities and spaces, as well as microfilming equipment and organization of information to preserve the records and the documentary memory of San Pedro Sula.

  As the Honduran Contemporary Art Gallery in the first instance as a permanent showroom with two distinct sections:

Permanent Gallery paintings of our artists
